Shade percentages reflect how much visible light is allowed through the tint. A lower percentage means darker tint (more privacy, more heat/UV blocking). For example:

  • 5% = very dark (max privacy, less visibility from outside)
  • 15–20% = medium-high darkness
  • 30% = lighter, more light allowed inside

Depending upon your local regulations, certain shades may or may not be legal for specific windows.
